I accidentally got flattened when a bulletin board fell down while I was sleeping (listen here). I don’t really mind being flat because I have had a lot of exciting adventures. My parents even mailed me in a brown envelope to California to visit relatives. My relatives mailed me back in a white envelope. I found out that I love to travel.
I recently spent some time in Kindergarten with Mrs. Davis. She read her class a book about my adventures, called “Flat Stanley”. The class is learning all about the seven continents and, since they have school responsibilities every day, they would like to send ME around the globe!
To help us with this project, we are asking you to please provide the mailing address of at least two family members or friends that you believe would be able to host me for a short visit. He/she would have to mail a letter back to Mrs. Davis’ class and tell all about my adventures. We are going to mark on the map all the cities, states, and countries that I visit. Thank you for your help!
To add to the fun, I have asked Mrs. Davis’ students to help give me a new look for my next big adventure! I am sure the students already miss me, so please be sure to have me (the attached template) and the two addresses returned to school by this Friday, February 27th. Help your student get creative and personalize their template. Everybody will get to show off their new looks for me during Share Chair!
Your Pal, Stanley
