Dear Kindergarten Families,
Hello, kindergarten families!
Wow! Is it Friday already?! The first day of spring is just around the corner, and the students have been buzzing around campus like excited little bumblebees! Our field trip to the World Wildlife Zoo & Aquarium was a huge success! A great big “THANK YOU” to our amazing parent chaperones, who helped make it all possible. Pictures have been posted on the classroom website. If anyone else has pictures that they’d like to share, please email at your convenience.
Today was our last day in session until March 23rd. We will be on Spring Break March 16th through 20th. In addition, there will be no Saturday School this weekend or the next. Saturday School will resume on March 28th. Each student has been sent home with a manila envelope, containing Spring Break homework activities and flash cards. While on break, please encourage your student practice writing, addition fact fluency, and Read, Read, Read!
Please note that this week also marks the conclusion of 3rd quarter. Report Cards and Individualized Student Reports will be postmarked early next week, so please keep a look out in your mailbox! Our next ILP meetings will be scheduled on April 22nd & 23rd. A sign up sheet has been sent home with students. You may also choose to complete it electronically (attached) or email me your preferred date/time.
Finally, I am THRILLED to announce that our Flat Stanleys were mailed out TODAY! Our little Stanleys will be visiting over 15 states and countries! We can’t wait to hear about ALL of his adventures! If your family pen pals have any questions, please note that the handwritten student letters are accompanied by a teacher-letter explaining the project. I have attached a copy to this message, just in case you are curious.
I hope your family is looking forward to the opportunity to spend some extra time together.

Hello, Kindergarten Families!
Tomorrow is the BIG day! It is hard to believe that March is already in full-swing and it is time for our field trip to the Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium.
Please note that we will be departing at 9:00am promptly, so it is very important that chaperones and students arrive at school no later than 8:30am. We expect to be back on campus by 2:30pm.
Please be sure your child is prepared with the ASU Prep uniform, comfortable walking shoes, and sunscreen applied. Students have been told that hats and sunglasses are allowed, however I did emphasize the need for responsible behavior with such personal items. Teachers and chaperones cannot be held responsible for lost items. Thank you for your understanding!
If you are signed up to chaperone, I have a copy of our schedule, list of helpful tips and your student group printed for you to review first thing in the morning. Please remember to bring a lunch and water bottle, as well as comfortable shoes and sun protection for yourself.
Thank you! I hope you are as excited as we are! :)
