Hey Kids! Here is a special message from your teachers: http://elfyourself.com/?mId=66976619.3
I would like to wish you and your family a lovely winter break and happy holiday. I hope your time is filled with much joy, and laughter! Our class has learned so much about family, community, culture and traditions these past weeks. I encourage you to give your littles ones an opportunity to share what they’ve learned about communities around the world and reflect on your own treasured family traditions.
I would also like to thank you all for attending our ILP meetings. These meetings are a great opportunity to discuss the quarters ahead and what to expect in the first grade classroom. There were a couple of meetings that had to be canceled/postponed due to a family issue that came up for me. I am so grateful for your understanding and support. If you and I were unable to meet, please stay tuned for an additional email to share these goals and check your mailbox in the coming week for a copy of your child’s report card.
Thank you for all that you do to support your child’s education, our classroom, and our school community. I am so very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your child’s early education. I can’t imagine doing anything else! I am looking forward to having a few days to plan future lessons and prepare our classroom for more learning adventures! Students were sent home with review packets, some sheets including practice of old skills and the introduction of new (look for green paper). If those items didn’t make it home, you may check the classroom website for a downloadable copy.
Enjoy the holidays, and we will see you on January 5th!
