Today our class shared the folk tale Stone Soup, as retold by Ann McGovern.
The moral of the story is that, by working together, with everyone contributing what they can, a greater good is achieved.
We have had several class discussions about being grateful, and the importance of showing kindness and generosity to others.
In honor of the coming Thanksgiving holiday and similar traditions across America, we will each be sharing the little bits that we may have to create a wonderful feast.
Each student has been asked to donate one thing for our own Stone Soup recipe! All donations are due on Tuesday, November 25th.
Please read the recipe sheet sent home to see what your student is assigned to bring. Because I will not have a knife in the classroom, all donated food items must be canned, OR washed, chopped and ready to go! J Any extra canned items will be added to the PTO food drive.
